The paper(s) must be submitted to the Chair of the NAMF Student
Award Committee. Finalist(s) are selected and invited to present the
paper(s) at the Biennial North American Mixing Conference. The
finalist(s) are selected no later than 4 weeks before the
conference. NAMF covers both the travel expenses and the
registration fees (at the student rate, which requires sharing a
room) for the finalist(s). Members of the NAMF Student Award
Committee as well as a pre-selected group of NAMF members attending
the Conference select the winner(s) at the conference. Final
selection is based on the submitted paper and the presentation at
the NAMF Conference. The Award Committee’s decision is final and NOT
subject to review. The winner is notified during the
conference and is presented with a plaque and an award of $500 at
the NAMF Award Banquet. A previous winner of this award may compete
again, but is not eligible for the travel expenses and the
registration fees for the conference, even if selected as a
finalist.
Note: Those applicants who wish to present at the NAMF conference,
independent of the student award, must submit a separate abstract to
the conference chair.
