2010 NAMF Award for Excellence recipient: Dr. Chad Bennington

 Excellence2010

The NAMF Award committee selected Dr. Chad Bennington as 2010 winner of the NAMF award. This award is not normally given posthumously, but everyone involved strongly felt that Chad would have received the award this year, had he lived, due to both his technical contributions and to his personal and professional contributions to NAMF. The committee essentially overruled the specifications for the award due to the unusual circumstances of Chad’s passing.

The NAMF Award Lecture was given by Prof Dick Kerekes, UBC, and Dr Clara Gomez, Coanda, in honor of Prof Chad Bennington (deceased). They gave a comprehensive retrospective of his work on mixing in the pulp and paper industry.

The Bennnington Family has donated the NAMF Award to the UBC Chad Bennington Memorial Scholarship Fund.
