NAMF has established a number of awards to promote excellence in research and education in the field of mixing.
NAMF Award for Excellence and Sustained Contributions to Mixing Research and Practice is given annually to a NAMF member who is a resident of North America. The award, which consists of a cash prize and a plaque, is sponsored by the Dow Chemical Company and is presented at the NAMF Awards Banquet at the AIChE Annual Meeting.

The NAMF Student Award Competition was established to encourage, recognize and reward students for quality research in the area of mixing.
The winners of the NAMF Student Award for 2022 were Ali Rahimzadeh and Baran Teoman.
The NAMF Early Career Award is to acknowledge independent research on the fundamentals or applications of fluid and multiphase mixing and/or significant contributions to the greater mixing community by a tenure-track faculty.
